Maria Raeder


Maria Amélia Raeder has a postgraduate degree in Art and Philosophy from PUC-RJ, specialization in arts from The Art Institute of Houston-USA and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Bennett-RJ. He took free courses at The Glassell School of Art (Houston-USA), at Associacion Estimulo de Bellas Artes (Buenos Aires – AR), at EAV - Parque Lage, at Paço Imperial, at Ateliê Mundo Novo by Charles Watson and participated in the Laboratory of Contemporary Art Studies by Frederico Carvalho - UFRJ (RJ-Brazil).
Researches the layers of meaning of the images, especially in the production of the meaning of the images in the communication media. Participated in the following exhibitions in recent years: in 2019: Charismatic Renewal - Caixa Preta-RJ; in 2018: Feira Oriente - Villa Aymoré-RJ, Uma Pedra in the middle of the road - Casa de Pedra-RJ, Intersubjectivities - Centro Cultural Correios- Niterói-RJ, Quizumba- Cultural Corridor of the Public Ministry-RJ, Floating Paço Imperial-RJ; in 2017: Entre Conversas- Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto- RJ, Ponto e Linha sobre o Corpo - Ateliê Casa 404 – UFF, Rio das Ostras – RJ, Abraço Coletivo-Saracura-RJ; in 2016: Entre Obras - Espaço Cultural Olho da Rua – RJ.
